Woman Arrested After Threatening Officers During DC Eviction

WASHINGTON, DC—A 59-year-old woman, Camille Ceasar, was arrested by the D.C. Metro Police Department after a tense standoff in her Northwest DC apartment.

During an eviction attempt on Wednesday, at 11:53 AM, Ceasar allegedly threatened to shoot U.S. Marshals and pointed a gun at responding officers. The incident occurred in the 4000 block of Cathedral Avenue.

Following the threats, MPD declared a barricade and the Emergency Response Team was dispatched. Ceasar brandished a firearm at officers twice during the standoff. She was eventually arrested and charged with two counts of Assault on a Police Officer and making threats to kidnap or injure a person. Police also recovered a handgun and multiple rounds of ammunition from her apartment.
