Woman Arrested for October Shooting in Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Police Department announced the arrest of Darreionna Johnson, 21, of Buffalo, on Friday. The charges relate to a shooting that took place on Thursday, October 12.

Around 10:30 a.m. on that day, Northeast district officers attended ECMC, where a self-transported victim was admitted with multiple gunshot wounds.

Detectives from the Gun Violence Unit quickly launched an investigation, pinpointing a scene on the 100 block of Dunlop and identifying a suspect.

Johnson faces multiple charges, including Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, a class A felony, and other related felonies.

The 25-year-old male victim was treated at ECMC and subsequently released.
