BUFFALO, NY – Buffalo Police Department announced the arrest of 26-year-old Keanna Steele last Wednesday, following a gunshot incident three days prior.

Police officers responded to reports of a suspicious person and found a vehicle with shattered windows and a bullet hole.

Investigators suggest that Steele, following a personal dispute, shot out the vehicle’s window with a licensed firearm. She now faces charges for Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class E felony.

Following the incident, Threat Management Unit detectives obtained an Extreme Risk Order of Protection (ERPO), under which Steele’s legally owned firearm has been confiscated.

The investigation continues as Buffalo Police work to understand the full scope of the incident.
