Woman Arrested For Stabbing in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, PA – A stabbing occurred on Saturday, around 8:05 am, to which Allentown Police officers responded.

The incident transpired on the 500 block of North Lumber Street, where officers found a male victim suffering a stab wound to the neck. He was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest with moderate injuries.

52-year-old Rita Acevedo, a resident of the same block, was apprehended by patrol officers and subsequently charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, and harassment.

Acevedo remains presumed innocent until proven guilty, following legal protocols.

The Allentown Police Department is currently withholding further comments regarding the ongoing investigation.
