Woman Arrested in D.C. for Retail Theft

Arrests made one year after gold was stolen from Toronto Pearson airport

Washington, D.C. — A woman has been arrested for retail theft in Northwest D.C. following an incident at a local business.

On Wednesday at approximately 3:15 p.m., the suspect entered a store in the 1000 block of F Street, Northwest. She removed security tags from clothing in a dressing room, concealed the items, and left the premises. Responding officers located and arrested her nearby.

Following the investigation, 45-year-old Latia Gundy of Southeast, D.C., was charged with Burglary Two and Theft Two.
