Woman arrested in stolen car in Secaucus

SECAUCUS, NJ – Yesterday, at approximately 6:45 a.m., Secaucus Police Department officers were on patrol when they spotted a black 2018 Honda Accord reported stolen out of Clifton, New Jersey, parked at a local hotel.

The officers initiated an investigation, which led them to the hotel room of a 24-year-old woman from Newark, identified as Shonda T. Williams.

Upon conducting a search of the room with consent, officers discovered several items, including a small quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and multiple sets of car keys.

Williams was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was processed and released pending her court appearance. The stolen Honda Accord was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
