BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A woman was slapped and pushed during a cellphone-related robbery in Brooklyn earlier this month, police said.
The incident occurred around 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, near Fort Hamilton Parkway and 84th Street. According to authorities, a 43-year-old woman became involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified man over the sale of cellphones.
The man then began slapping her in the face and pushing her before stealing three cellphones and fleeing the scene on foot to parts unknown.
The victim refused medical attention, police said.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, approximately 30 to 40 years old. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, black sneakers, and a black Yankees cap. He was carrying a brown bag and a multi-colored bag over his shoulder.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
