Woman assaulted, robbed at knifepoint in Brooklyn subway station

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 29-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed in a violent encounter at the Newkirk Avenue subway station on Friday evening, police said.

The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m., when four unidentified individuals approached the victim on the station platform. One of the assailants struck the woman in the face before the group forcibly stole her cellphone.

During the robbery, one of the suspects reportedly displayed a knife, according to police. The group fled the station on foot, escaping to an unknown location.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the attack but declined medical attention, authorities said. Investigators are searching for four individuals: one male and three females, though further descriptions were not immediately provided.

Police have not made any arrests and are continuing their investigation.
