Woman Attacked on NYC J Train, Suspect Sought by NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. — Police are searching for a man who allegedly assaulted a woman onboard a J train at the Jamaica Center–Parsons/Archer station last week, authorities said.

The attack occurred on Tuesday, February 25, at approximately 5:50 p.m. when a 37-year-old woman was riding the train. An unidentified male approached her and punched her in the face, causing lacerations, bruising, and pain to her right eye. The suspect then fled the station on foot.

The victim sustained injuries but did not require hospitalization, police said.

The suspect is described as a male with facial hair, a light complexion, and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black coat, blue jeans, and black-and-white shoes.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect and urges anyone with information to come forward.
