Woman Attacks Mother and 6-Year-Old with Boxcutter in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A woman has been arrested for assaulting a mother and her 6-year-old son with a boxcutter following a dispute in Southwest D.C.

Officers responded to a call at 7:33 a.m. on Friday on the 900 block of Sixth Street in Southwest D.C., where they found a woman with multiple stab and laceration wounds. During an altercation with her neighbor, the woman was injured, and her young son also received a minor laceration.

The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Lateasa Hill from Southwest D.C., fled the scene but was apprehended by officers nearby.

The injured woman was taken to a local hospital and is stable. Her son was treated at the scene and released to a family member.

Lateasa Hill has been charged with Assault with Intent to Kill. Authorities are continuing the investigation.
