NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating a New Year’s Day sexual assault that occurred aboard a Q44 MTA bus in the Bronx. According to detectives with the city’s 43rd NYPD Precinct the woman was sleeping on the bus. When she awoke near the intersection of Metropolitan Avenue and Grant Circle, she was shocked at what she saw.
An unknown male was touching her leg and masturbating while she slept.
After she realized what was happening, the man fled the scene.
