Woman Beaten with Baseball Bat During Argument with Bronx Man

NEW YORK, NY – On Saturday, June 6, a robbery and assault were reported in the area of Yznaga Place and Brush Avenue.

The New York City Police Department reports that at approximately 11:00 am, an unidentified male engaged a 26-year-old female in a verbal dispute.

The individual then revealed a bat, striking the woman multiple times on her hands and body. Following the assault, the assailant proceeded to steal money from the victim’s bag and fled northbound on Brush Avenue in a motor vehicle.

Emergency medical services responded to the scene, treating the victim for minor injuries.

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual involved in this crime.
