ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department (ACPD) is actively seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a group of male suspects involved in an attempted carjacking that occurred on Friday. The incident took place around 5:01 PM on the first block of South Congress Avenue, where a group of teenage males approached a woman sitting in her vehicle and demanded her keys.
The suspects, described as black males wearing face masks and hooded sweatshirts, failed to operate the vehicle after obtaining the keys. Realizing their failure, they quickly fled the scene on foot. The ACPD is now turning to the public for help in apprehending these individuals.
The department urges anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspects’ identities to contact the Atlantic City Police Department Criminal Investigations Section at 609-347-5766.
