Woman Charged with Attempted Murder after Motel Dispute

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – Quadira Banks, a 37-year-old woman from New Brunswick, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following an incident at a local motel. The East Brunswick Police Department received a call on the morning of Tuesday, reporting a stabbing at Studio 6, located at 246 Highway 18.

Upon arrival, an investigation by patrol officers and detectives uncovered that Banks had stabbed her ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend multiple times in the face and body. It was also found that Banks attempted to run the victim over twice with her vehicle before leaving the scene. The victim was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in stable condition.

Banks is now in custody at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility, facing charges of Attempted Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose.
