Woman Critical, Two Children Struck by Hit and Run Driver in Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A Philadelphia woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a passing vehicle Monday night shortly before 10 pm near 50th Street

Now, the Philadelphia Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the driver and vehicle involved the incident.

According to police a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Nissan struck four people, critically injuring one as they walked through the crosswalk at the intersection of 50th Street and Haverford Avenue before fleeing the area.

Police said two children, ages 13 and 3, suffered bruises and abrasions. One adult female – 29 years of age, sustained a major injury to her left leg. PFD Medics transported the female to Presbyterian Hospital. The two children were transported to CHOP.

The striking vehicle was last seen leaving the scene westbound on Haverford Avenue.
