Woman critically injured after being struck by pickup truck in Stowe Township

A woman is in critical condition following a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash in Stowe Township on Saturday morning, according to the Allegheny County Police Department.

At approximately 10:21 a.m., Allegheny County 9-1-1 received a report of a collision in the 2100 block of Robinson Boulevard. Responding units arrived to find that a GMC pickup truck had struck an adult female.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition. Authorities have not released her identity at this time.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and has not been reported to have fled or resisted officers. No charges have been filed as of Saturday afternoon.

Investigation underway by homicide detectives

Allegheny County’s Homicide Unit was called to the scene to assist in the investigation, which remains in its early stages. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Officials have not indicated whether speed, impairment, or other factors contributed to the incident. No additional details about the events leading up to the collision have been disclosed.
