Schenectady, NY – A quiet and solemn afternoon at one of Schenectady’s historic cemeteries was shattered Wednesday when police rushed to the grounds of Vale Cemetery after a 911 caller reported a woman had been stabbed.
Officers arrived at the cemetery, located at 901 State Street, shortly after 1:39 p.m. and discovered a woman suffering from several stab wounds to her arms and torso. Emergency responders quickly provided aid before the victim was transported to a local hospital with serious physical injuries.
