Woman found unresponsive near Christiana Hospital dies; police investigating

NEWARK, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old North Carolina woman who was found unresponsive near Christiana Hospital on Saturday night.

Police responded at approximately 8:30 p.m. to a report of an unknown emergency near the hospital’s retention pond on Ogletown Stanton Road. The woman, later identified as Amie Bradley, was discovered unresponsive near the roadway. Troopers attempted life-saving measures before EMS transported her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities confirmed that Bradley was not an employee of Christiana Hospital, and her connection to the location remains unclear. The cause of death has not been determined, with autopsy results pending.

Detectives have not disclosed whether foul play is suspected but are actively seeking information related to the incident. They have asked anyone with relevant details to come forward to assist in the investigation.

“The circumstances surrounding this death remain under investigation,” police said in a statement.
