Suspect claims she’s not there while hiding under motel bed

Stafford, VA – A wanted woman was caught hiding under a bed alongside suspected drugs at a Motel 6 on Sunday afternoon, ending a brief but bizarre game of hide and seek with sheriff’s deputies.

On Sunday at approximately 2:32 p.m., deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a tip that Justina Sharp, 35, of Woodbridge, was holed up inside a room at the Motel 6 on Richmond Highway. The anonymous caller also reported suspected drug activity happening in the room.

When deputies knocked on the door, a man later identified as Austin Nicely, 25, of Stafford, answered after a delay and denied that Sharp was inside. He then gave deputies permission to search the room. Within moments, deputies located Sharp tucked beneath the bed, along with suspected controlled substances stashed in the same area.
