Man killed in single-car crash on University Boulevard in Prince George’s County

Prince George’s County, MD – A man has died after a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon that shut down portions of University Boulevard in Prince George’s County.

Police said the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. near University Boulevard and Baltimore Avenue. The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His identity has not yet been released.

As of 3:30 p.m., Prince George’s County Police reported that westbound University Boulevard at the northbound Baltimore Avenue exit ramp and westbound University Boulevard at Rhode Island Avenue were closed to traffic. Officers directed drivers to alternate routes while investigators remained at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
