Woman in Custody Following Early Morning Shooting in Kulpmont

KULPMONT, PA – A 44-year-old woman is now in custody following a shooting that took place early Friday morning at 442 North Fifth Street, Kulpmont.

Stonington state police have reported no ongoing threat to public safety in connection to the event.

The victim, whose name has not been released, is reported to have entered the home and was subsequently involved in a physical altercation with the woman now in custody. During the incident, the woman allegedly shot the victim in the leg. The state police are continuing to investigate and will release more information as it becomes available.
