Woman Indicted for Murder Following Vehicle Incident in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OH – On Wednesday, a Cuyahoga County grand jury indicted Shaniqua Menefee, 34, for the murder of a 35-year-old Cleveland man. The incident occurred on June 25, near East 155th Street and Talford Avenue in Cleveland.

The investigation by the Cleveland Division of Police’s Homicide Unit reports that following a verbal altercation, Menefee followed the victim in her vehicle. After pursuing him to Glendale Avenue and East 155th Street, Menefee drove her car onto the front lawn of a residence, striking and trapping the victim. Despite attempts to reverse her car, Menefee was unsuccessful and subsequently fled on foot.

First responders arrived at the scene following Menefee’s call to the police, but the victim succumbed to his injuries. Menefee was later arrested on June 29, by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.
