One dead, one critically injured in head-on crash in Woodlawn

WOODLAWN, MD – A 39-year-old woman is dead and another driver is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a head-on collision late Saturday night at the intersection of Security Boulevard and Woodlawn Drive, according to Baltimore County Police.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 10:43 p.m. and found two heavily damaged vehicles involved in the crash. Investigators determined that a 2014 Ford Econoline E-350, driven by Alexis Williams, was traveling eastbound on Security Boulevard when it collided head-on with a 2022 Toyota Tundra.

Detectives say the Toyota was making a left turn onto Woodlawn Drive from westbound Security Boulevard at the time of the impact.

Williams, of Baltimore, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The driver of the Toyota, whose identity has not been released, was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
