Woman Killed in Tuesday Night Chew Road Crash

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred last Tuesday night.

The incident took place at approximately 10:00 pm on the 6400 block of Chew Road. The deceased driver has been identified as 38-year-old Courtney Chapman of Upper Marlboro.

Preliminary findings indicate that Chapman was traveling westbound on Chew Road when her vehicle crossed the double yellow line and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is handling the investigation.
