Woman Killed While Riding Bicycle in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A fatal collision between a vehicle and a bicycle claimed the life of a 30-year-old woman on Wednesday. The incident occurred at 1800 Spruce Street at around 7:00 PM.

The woman, riding her bicycle westbound in the designated bike lane, suffered severe head trauma after being struck by a blue 2018 vehicle. Emergency services rushed her to Jefferson Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 7:20 PM.

The vehicle was driven by a 68-year-old man. Authorities are conducting preliminary investigations into the crash. Further details on the investigation remain pending.
