Woman reported missing Friday night found dead in car crash by family

BIBB COUNTY, GA – At around 3:34 p.m., the Macon-Bibb 911 Center received a report that the vehicle of 21-year-old Sidney Compagines had been found down an embankment in a wooded area in the 300 block of Lower Thomaston Rd.

It was reported that family members had been checking the area and located the vehicle.

Compagines was inside the vehicle and was later pronounced deceased by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. It appears that this is a single-vehicle fatal collision.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

It was reported that 21-year-old Sidney Compagines had not been seen since 1:00 a.m. Friday morning. She was last seen by friends, at the “Cook Out” restaurant, located at 155 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. Family members contacted the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Friday night at around 7:20 p.m. after not being able to contact Compagines.

She was supposed to be at work at the Atrium Health Navicent on Friday night but did not show.
