Woman Shot After Fight Between Two Men in NYC Ends in Gunfire

BRONX, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that left two people injured in the Bronx on Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:55 a.m. on September 5, 2024, in front of 1473 Bryant Avenue in the 42nd Precinct. According to police, a 66-year-old male was involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified male when the situation escalated. The suspect then displayed a firearm and fired multiple rounds, striking the 66-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman.

Both victims were transported by EMS to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. The NYPD has released images of the individual and is asking anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to contact authorities. The investigation is ongoing.
