Woman shot and killed in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — A woman was killed Tuesday evening in Baltimore’s Central District after being shot in the upper body, prompting a homicide investigation.

At approximately 5:56 p.m. on March 18, patrol officers responded to the 700 block of East Preston Street following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a 31-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead by medical staff.
