Woman Shot and Killed Inside Canarsie Apartment Building

NEW YORK CITY - NYPD police cars.

NEW YORK, NY – A 42-year-old Brooklyn woman was shot and killed inside a Canarsie apartment building early Monday morning. The New York City Police department reported that at 1 am, a female was found in the lobby of the apartment building at 165 Rockaway Parkway in Brooklyn.

Upon arrival, first responders said the woman was unconscious, unresponsive, and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to Brookdale University Hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later, according to the NYPD.

At this time, police have not identified any suspects. No arrests have been made.
