Woman shot by stray bullet in Baltimore in stable condition

BALTIMORE, MD – On August 22, 2021, at approximately 2:33 a.m., Southeast District officers were dispatched to investigate a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment at an area hospital.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 23-year-old female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the lower extremities. The victim is listed in stable condition. A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 600 block of South Bond Street when she heard gunfire and realized she was shot. The victim was then taken to a nearby hospital by an unknown person. Southeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.
