SALISBURY, NC – Early Wednesday morning, a 24-year-old woman was shot in her apartment in the Colonial Village Apartments, located in the 200 block of West D Avenue.
Salisbury Police reported that the woman was in her kitchen when a shot entered the apartment and struck her.
The woman was conscious and alert when police arrived. She is currently in the hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.
Officers found a shattered window and damage to a back door at the scene.
No arrests have been made. Salisbury Police are asking anyone with information to call 704-638-5333.
