Woman shot in neck in Philadelphia in stable condition, no suspects identified

PHILADELPHIA — A 30-year-old woman was shot in the neck Monday night near the 2200 block of West Hunting Park Avenue in the city’s 39th District, authorities said.

The shooting occurred at approximately 8:05 p.m. Emergency responders from Medic 22 transported the victim to Temple University Hospital, where she was placed in stable condition.

Police said the scene remains secured, but no weapons have been recovered. Investigators have not identified a suspect, and no arrests have been made.

Authorities have not released details about a possible motive or whether the victim was targeted. The investigation remains ongoing.

Philadelphia police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
