Woman Shot Outside Wake County Human Services Office

RALEIGH, N.C. – A shooting incident outside the Wake County Human Services on Wednesday left a woman with severe injuries.

The Raleigh Police Department reported that around 1:05 p.m., they responded to the scene at 220 Swinburne St. where they found the injured woman.

She was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently stabilized.

Detectives are actively collecting evidence and working to determine the cause of the incident.

Initial reports suggested the suspect was a juvenile, but it has now been clarified that the suspect is an adult female. The search for her is ongoing.
