Woman stabbed on Maryland Ave, suspect arrested

A woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left another woman injured early Thursday in Northeast D.C.

Police said the attack happened around 4:41 a.m. on the 300 block of Maryland Avenue, where a suspect brandished a knife and stabbed an adult female before fleeing. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following an investigation, officers arrested 27-year-old Devyn Cyphers of Alexandria, Virginia. She has been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
