Woman Stabbed to Death on Broadway and Front

ELIZABETH, NJ – At about 10:40 pm on Saturday, Elizabeth Police Officers found 37-year-old Lakeisha Brooks fatally stabbed near the intersection of Broadway and Front Street.

Brooks was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

This is an active investigation led by the Prosecutor’s Office Sergeant Lamar Hartsfield and Elizabeth Police Department Detective David Haverty.

The police are urging anyone with information related to this case to contact the relevant officials.

Tips can be submitted anonymously by phone or online, and rewards of up to $10,000 are available for information leading to an indictment and conviction.
