Woman survives hail of bullets in South Charles Street shooting

BALTIMORE, MD – A 39-year-old woman was shot multiple times in an early-morning attack in Baltimore’s Southern District.

The shooting happened around 12:15 a.m. on July 27 in the 1000 block of South Charles Street. Officers conducting foot patrol nearby heard gunfire and responded, finding the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.

A person of interest has been taken into custody as Southern District Shooting detectives lead the investigation.
