JOHNSON, RI – A local woman scored her second major lottery win in two months by using the Rhode Island Lottery’s own phone number to select her daily numbers.
The woman, a resident of Johnson, shared that she had the numbers 6-5-0-0 in mind while driving. Upon reaching the Shop N Go on Plainfield Pike, she realized these digits matched the last four of the lottery’s phone number.
Opting to use these numbers, she purchased six Daily Numbers combination tickets, placing a $5 wager on each. She won a total prize of $87,480 in the drawing.
This victory follows a $21,675 win she secured just one month prior, also from Daily Numbers combination tickets.
According to the woman, she decides to buy Daily Numbers tickets when she senses a favorable number combination. “When I feel it, I play it,” she stated.
She has plans to invest a portion of her winnings into her new business aimed at aiding cancer patients. Additionally, the woman intends to give a cash gift to the store clerk who sold her the winning tickets.
