Woman Wounded in Shooting, Live-In Boyfriend Arrested in Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, MD – Officers from the Eastern District were called to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center on Tuesday, at approximately 6:30 a.m. where a woman reported being shot at her residence on the 300 block of Highland Drive in Glen Burnie.

The victim informed officers that she had been involved in a verbal dispute with her live-in boyfriend prior to falling asleep, later waking up to a loud noise and experiencing pain.

The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Jason Shelven Gasaway from Glen Burnie, Maryland, had fled the scene. The victim then drove herself to the hospital for treatment.

As the investigation progressed, the officers were able to locate the suspect near Crain Highway and Mayo Road. Gasaway has been arrested and charged accordingly.
