Woodbury police to host community blood drive amid nationwide shortage

WOODBURY, N.J. – The Woodbury City Police Department will partner with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will take place at American Legion Post 133 in Woodbury.

The department is aiming to fill 50 donation spots, as the Red Cross continues to face a nationwide shortage of blood donations. Each unit of blood donated can help save up to three lives, aiding individuals such as trauma victims, cancer patients, and those undergoing surgery.

Residents interested in participating can register by calling 1-800-733-2767 or visiting RedCrossBlood.org and entering “Woodbury PD.”
