Worcester Police Investigate Serious Motorcycle Crash

WORCESTER, MA – On Sunday, November 8, 2020 at approximately 6:00 PM the Crash Reconstruction Team was activated to respond to a motor vehicle versus an off road motorcycle crash in the vicinity of Plantation Street and Natural History Drive.
The preliminary investigation reveals that a 2002 Volkswagen Golf attempted to make a left turn from the southeast travel lane of Plantation Street onto National History Drive when a Yamaha off-road motorcyclist struck the vehicle. The off-road motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed with a group of other motorcyclists.
The operator of the motorcycle was identified as a 26-year-old male of Worcester. He was rushed to the hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries. He is currently listed in critical condition.
The operator of Volkswagen was identified as a 73-year-old male. He was not injured during the crash.
