Yardley Police Make Arrest for Weapons and Drug Charges

Yardley, PA – The Yardley Borough Police Department has announced the arrest of a 30-year-old man from Garfield, NJ, for multiple offenses, including weapons and drug charges. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on March 2, after a traffic stop for speeding.

During the traffic stop, the officer discovered marijuana, leading to the driver’s arrest and subsequent release after processing. The vehicle was impounded following this incident. On March 4, a search warrant executed on the vehicle led to the discovery of a handgun with an altered serial number and additional drug paraphernalia.

On March 6, an arrest warrant was issued for the suspect. Nearly a year later, on March 4, the Falls Township Police Department apprehended the individual.

Officers from Yardley Borough assumed custody of the suspect, who was processed, arraigned, and taken to Bucks County Jail. Bail was set at 10% of $250,000. The charges include possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, carrying a weapon without a license, and drug possession.
