York City Police Report Severe Animal Abuse Case Involving Puppy

YORK, PA – The York City Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for severely beating a young dog.

The incident occurred in the 400 block of S Pershing Ave on Wednesday, at approximately 9 p.m. A 911 caller reported a tall male, wearing a red shirt, beating a dog.

Officers arrived to find the young dog bleeding, seriously injured, and unconscious. The dog was immediately transported for emergency veterinary treatment.

The canine appears to be a German Shepard mix, aged around 6 to 8 months. The suspect had left the scene before police arrived.

The department asked anyone with information regarding this case to come forward.
