LANCASTER, PA – George Wakeley, a 62-year-old former resident of York, has been sentenced to a substantial term of 64 to 140 years in prison by Lancaster County Judge Jeffrey Conrad. The sentencing took place on Wednesday morning, following Wakeley’s conviction in March.

During a two-day trial, a jury found Wakeley guilty of multiple charges related to sexual abuse that occurred in Warwick Township between 2003 and 2008. The charges against him included eight counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, three counts of corruption of minors, and six counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13, involving three minor victims.

This case highlights the serious repercussions of crimes against children and the judicial system’s commitment to addressing such violations with severe penalties.
