York police searching for escaped prisoner at hospital

YORK, PA – Police are searching for a prisoner who was getting treatment at an area hospital after he fled the hospital and eluded police.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Ishan S. Phinn after he escaped from York Hospital while under official detention by a corrections officer from York County Prison on Sunday.

Phinn was initially apprehended on Friday while resisting arrest and fleeing on foot from an investigation on the 200 block of Masonic Drive in Manchester Township, York County.

Phinn faced charges of resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehension, and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
