York Road Crash Leaves Man Dead as Driver Flees

TOWSON, Md. — A fatal hit-and-run that killed a 37-year-old man crossing York Road on Sunday night is under investigation, Baltimore County Police announced.

The victim, identified as Benjamin Ganger, was struck around 9:10 p.m. near York and Halesworth Road by a driver in an Acura TL who fled the scene without stopping.

Ganger was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Crash Team are urging anyone with information to call 410-887-5396 or 410-887-INFO (4636). Callers can remain anonymous.

Investigators are working to gather surveillance footage and witness statements as they search for the suspect vehicle.
