Young Girl Lured at NYC Playground; Police Seek Suspect

NEW YORK, NY — Authorities are actively searching for a man involved in a disturbing encounter opposite 70 Lenox Avenue near Martin Luther King Playground. The incident occurred when an unidentified male, claiming to be a friend of the victim’s father, approached a young girl. The victim, responding promptly, screamed and escaped on foot from the scene.

The suspect, described as a male with a dark complexion and medium build, aged between 40 to 50 years, and standing about 6’0″ tall, fled the scene southbound on Lenox Avenue. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, a white baseball jersey, dark jeans, gray sneakers, and a black face mask. He also wore an orange Du-rag and a black hat, and was last observed riding a Citi bike.

Fortunately, the young girl did not sustain any injuries from the incident. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in locating the suspect.
