Young Man Fatally Shot in Southwest Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – Early on July 4, Southwest District patrol officers were called to the 2700 block of West Franklin Street following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a 26-year-old male with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was initially shot in the 1700 block of West Baltimore Street and was subsequently transported to West Franklin Street by a bystander. Homicide detectives are now seeking leads and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
