Brick Board of Ed Expected to Appoint New Principals at Board Meeting

BRICK-The Brick Township Board of Education tonight is expected to appoint two new principals in the school district.   Brick Memorial High School Assistant Principal Jonathan Barressi will move to Veterans Memorial Elementary School and become the principal there.   He will receive a salary increase from $117,00 annually to $131,000.

Walter Hyrcenko, the former district superintendent who made headlines after suing the board of education, is working his way back up the ladder of the educational system in Brick.   He currently serves as District Supervisor of Science for grades 6-8,  but will be moving to Herbertsville Elementary School where he will become the acting principal.  His annual salary will increase from $160,00 per year to $166,000 per year.
