New Haven Police Break Up Halloween Home Invasion, Recovered Three Guns, Cocaine

NEW HAVEN, CT- On Sunday night at approximately 8pm, Springfield Police Officers responded to Middlesex Street for a report of a home invasion in progress. When officers arrived, Darell Love came out of the home and was arrested. When officers went inside the home they located Alex Marrero & Ryan Navarro, who were both hiding.
When a resident of the home arrived home, he states these individuals held him at gunpoint and forced their way into the home. Another resident saw this happening on security cameras and called the police. The one injured victim refused medical attention.
Inside the home, Springfield Police Officers recovered three firearms, including a ghost gun, several pounds of marijuana and cocaine.
29 year old Darell Love of Oswego Street, 30 year old Alex Marrero of Brown Avenue in Holyoke and 27 year old Ryan Navarro of Center Street in Holyoke are charged with:
• Home Invasion
• Firearm-Armed Kidnapping
• Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
• Cocaine Trafficking (200 grams or more)
• Breaking & Entering in the Nighttime for a Felony
• Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a LTC
• Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number
• Possession of Ammunition without a FID Card
• Malicious Destruction of Property less than $1200
• Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Class D Drug
