$1.8M lotter win goes to lucky Hudson County player

Hudson County player hits $1.8M Jersey Cash 5 jackpot on digital app

Trenton, NJ – A Hudson County resident became nearly $2 million richer over the weekend after matching all five numbers in Saturday night’s Jersey Cash 5 drawing, marking the 55th jackpot hit this year in the game’s 55th anniversary.

The winning ticket, worth $1,822,957, was purchased through Jackpocket, a mobile lottery courier service. The app will receive a $2,000 bonus for facilitating the sale. The winning numbers drawn were 04, 20, 28, 35, and 40, with the Bullseye number also being 40 and the XTRA multiplier listed as 02.

Saturday’s win marks the 12th time this year that a Jersey Cash 5 jackpot has surpassed the $1 million mark.

Fifty other players also walked away with $500 each after matching four of the five numbers plus the Bullseye.

The online win comes just days after another Hudson County player bought a $22 million Pick-6 ticket through the same app on October 25, making this the second major prize sold through Jackpocket in one week.

The New Jersey Lottery has yet to release the winner’s identity. All prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing.
